Application Process

  1. University Application: Applications are submitted through Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. You must first have your school certificates (and, if applicable, university transcripts) recognized by the university. With the recognition certificate, you can apply for the Studienkolleg. Both steps are processed via JOGUStINe.
  • Application Deadlines:
    • Winter semester: by May 15
    • Summer semester: by November 15

Note: The recognition of your certificates may take 6 weeks. Therefore, start your application early.

  1. Entrance Examination: If your application is successful, you will be invited to an entrance examination. The subjects tested depend on your chosen course.
  • Dates:
    • June (for winter semester)
    • December (for summer semester)
  1. Course Start:
    • Summer semester: Mid-February
    • Winter semester: Mid-August
